Nollywood has witnessed another historic box office moment as Call Of My Life officially takes the crown as Nigeria’s highest-grossing film of 2026, proving that a powerful story can capture the hearts of millions. The romantic comedy has ended its cinema run with an impressive ₦817.6 million in box office earnings across West Africa, making it the biggest Nigerian film release of the year so far.

Directed by Dammy Twitch in his feature film debut, Call Of My Life arrived in cinemas on May 15, 2026. The film was produced by Blessing Uzzi under Bluehouse Studios and distributed by FilmOne Entertainment.

The movie tells the emotional story of Soluchi, a heartbroken call centre agent whose life takes an unexpected turn after a surprising phone call gives her another chance at love.

Its remarkable earnings have placed the film ahead of every other Nigerian movie released in 2026.

Celebrating the milestone, Dammy Twitch shared his excitement on X, writing:

“I am the Highest Grossing Director of 2026. Call Of My Life is the number one film this year 🇳🇬.”

Producer Blessing Uzzi also expressed gratitude to fans who supported the movie throughout its theatrical journey.

“Call Of My Life is officially the highest-grossing film in Nigeria of 2026. Thank you to everyone who bought a ticket, told a friend, laughed, cried, and believed in this little film,” she wrote.

The movie made history during its run by becoming the first Nollywood film released outside the traditional December movie season to cross the ₦600 million mark at the box office.

Its earnings continued to rise before it closed above ₦817.6 million, placing it among the highest-grossing Nollywood films ever made.

The film features a star-studded cast including Uzoamaka Power, Andrew Yaw Bunting, Beverly Osu, Nkem Owoh, Patience Ozokwor, Zubby Michael, Broda Shaggi and Justin UG.

Throughout its cinema run, Call Of My Life also maintained the number one position at the Nigerian box office for several weekends, cementing its place as one of Nollywood’s biggest success stories of 2026.

  • A mother's emotional story about raising twins without breast milk has sparked conversations online, as she reminded other parents that every motherhood journey looks different. The mother shared the progress of her twins after a debate erupted over comments that appeared to criticise women who use baby formula instead of exclusively breastfeeding. The conversation started when a mother posted photos of the tins of formula her baby had consumed. Mummy Zee, who gained popularity years ago after sharing how she woke up early during pregnancy to cook for her husband, responded that exclusive breastfeeding is always cheaper. Her comment quickly divided social media users. While some people agreed with her and criticised mothers who rely on formula, many others pushed back. Several mothers explained that exclusive breastfeeding was not always possible due to health challenges, work demands and other personal circumstances. Some fathers also shared reasons why their wives could not breastfeed exclusively. Amid the debate, one mother shared photos of her twins and opened up about her own experience. “My twins never tasted breast milk,” she wrote. She explained that she struggled physically and emotionally while trying to produce milk but nothing worked despite the efforts made to help her. “I remember feeling afraid and ashamed,” she said. However, she chose to trust that her children would be fine. “Today, my babies are healthy. They are top of their classes. Life happens. I’m beyond grateful,” she added. Her message has encouraged many parents online, with several people sharing their own experiences and emphasising that a child's wellbeing goes beyond the method used to feed them.
