A beloved face from Nollywood is reaching out to the public during one of the most difficult moments of her life.
Veteran actress Ngozi Nwosu has appealed for urgent financial support after revealing that she needs N30 million for life-saving surgeries.
In an emotional video shared from her hospital bed, the actress asked fans, colleagues, and well-meaning Nigerians to support her medical treatment. She revealed that she has spent about three weeks in the hospital while battling an undisclosed illness.
“Please don’t let me die,” Nwosu said as she described the severity of her condition and the urgent need for medical attention.
The actress explained that doctors have recommended three surgeries to address the health challenge. She said the situation has become too difficult to handle alone, prompting her to seek help from the public.
In a heartfelt message shared on Instagram, Nwosu admitted that asking for assistance was not easy. However, she said she could no longer remain silent because her health requires immediate intervention.
She appealed to her fans and supporters to share her message and contribute towards her treatment.
This is not the first major health battle faced by the screen icon. In 2012, Nwosu suffered a serious kidney-related illness that affected her acting career. She later travelled to the United Kingdom for treatment after receiving support from government bodies and charitable organisations.
Over the years, Ngozi Nwosu has earned admiration from Nigerians through her memorable performances in Nollywood. Many fans have now taken to social media to send prayers, encouragement, and support as she begins another fight for her health.
