One of the world’s biggest music stars and one of the NFL’s most celebrated athletes have officially tied the knot, as Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce exchanged vows in a private but star-packed ceremony at Madison Square Garden in New York.
The couple married on Friday night in a closely guarded event attended by family, friends, and some of the biggest names in entertainment and sports. The ceremony was officiated by actor Adam Sandler, while legendary singer Stevie Nicks delivered a special performance for guests.
Details of the highly secretive wedding emerged only after a marquee outside the iconic venue revealed the message: “JUST&T MARRIED.”
Instead of traditional wedding parties, Swift and Kelce chose their siblings for key roles. Swift’s younger brother, Austin Swift, served as her man of honour, while Kelce’s older brother, Jason Kelce, stood as his best man, according to Swift’s publicist Tree Paine.
The singer stunned guests in a Christian Dior Haute Couture gown designed by Jonathan Anderson, complemented by custom Christian Louboutin shoes and Cartier jewellery. Kelce also wore a Christian Dior Haute Couture outfit for the occasion.
The wedding brought together two global icons — Swift, whose music career has made her one of the world’s most influential entertainers, and Kelce, a three-time Super Bowl champion with the Kansas City Chiefs.
The star-studded guest list included actors Bradley Cooper, Zoë Kravitz, Hugh Grant, and Ethan Hawke, alongside models Gigi Hadid and Karlie Kloss, comedian Chris Rock, filmmaker Steven Spielberg, singer Camila Cabello, and author Jenny Han.
Several major sports figures also attended, including Chiefs head coach Andy Reid, former NFL star Tom Brady, and other prominent football personalities.
Organisers maintained strict security throughout the celebration, with guests reportedly required to surrender their phones before entering the venue, resulting in almost no behind-the-scenes posts from inside the ceremony.
Television host George Stephanopoulos, who attended the wedding, described the event as surprisingly intimate despite taking place inside one of the world’s largest entertainment venues.
Swift and Kelce’s romance began in 2023 after the NFL star attended Swift’s Eras Tour concert in Kansas City, quickly becoming one of the most followed celebrity relationships in the world.
