Davido has joined the celebrations after his uncle, Ademola Adeleke, secured another term as the Governor of Osun State.
The singer celebrated moments after the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, declared Adeleke the winner of the 2026 Osun governorship election.
Davido shared a video capturing his emotional reaction to the result.
In the clip, the singer could be seen dropping to the ground as he celebrated his uncle’s victory.
He later congratulated Adeleke with a short but excited message.
“WE DID IT UNC !!!” Davido wrote.
Adeleke contested the election under the Accord Party and secured 511,067 votes.
His closest challenger, Bola Oyebamiji of the All Progressives Congress, APC, polled 444,815 votes.
Najeem Salaam of the African Democratic Congress, ADC, finished third with 17,180 votes.
INEC announced Adeleke as the winner after officials completed the collation of results from all 30 local government areas in Osun State.
The victory means Adeleke will remain in office for another four years.
Davido has remained publicly supportive of his uncle throughout his political journey, making his latest celebration another personal moment following Adeleke’s re-election.
