A heated debate over the existence of hell has sparked a strong reaction from online personality Solomon Buchi.
Buchi criticised Pastor Tobi Adegboyega after the clergyman appeared to question why people should fear hell.
Adegboyega reportedly encouraged people to focus on building their lives, making money and enjoying their time on earth.
However, Buchi strongly disagreed with the message.
He described Adegboyega as a “false prophet” and argued that the comments do not align with Christian teachings.
Buchi clarified that he does not believe Christians should use fear of hell to force people to serve God.
However, he maintained that hell exists because the Bible speaks about it.
The online personality also took issue with Adegboyega’s emphasis on money and enjoyment.
According to Buchi, encouraging people to make money and enjoy life without mentioning God, righteousness or obedience presents an incomplete message.
He also challenged the pastor’s argument that hell may not exist because nobody has died, gone there and returned to confirm it.
Buchi questioned the logic behind that reasoning.
He argued that using the same standard could raise questions about the existence of Jesus Christ.
The comments have since added fuel to the ongoing debate about Christian teachings on hell, salvation and how religious leaders should communicate their messages.
