According to Lovehoney’s 2026 S3x Map, people in the North Yorkshire spa town of Harrogate are supposedly purchasing the biggest adult toys in the UK, with an average purchase size of 7.35 inches.
After failing to place in the top five the previous year, Harrogate, which is renowned for its gardens and old Turkish Baths, has risen to the top of Lovehoney’s annual poll.
The town’s average adult toy purchase is 7.35 inches, just ahead of Hereford, the winner from the previous year, with an average of 7.13 inches.
Huddersfield came in second with an average of 7.32 inches, after Blackpool’s 7.33 inches. Coventry finished in the top five with 7.27 inches, while Preston finished fourth at 7.29 inches. The average size of an adult toy bought in the UK in 2026 is 7.07 inches, up from 6.84 inches the year before.
This year’s ranking did not include any of the top five from the previous year: Hereford, Jersey, Inverness, Twickenham, and Hemel Hempstead. At 6.64 inches, Llandrindod Wells in Powys had the lowest average purchase of any site surveyed. The Isle of Man recorded 6.77 inches, and West London came in second with 6.68 inches. East London came in fifth at 6.81 inches, while Paisley came in fourth at 6.80 inches.
Locations whose locals bought the most adult toys overall were also discovered by the Lovehoney data. In England, Waltham Cross in Hertfordshire was at the top of the list; in Scotland, Alloa was at the top.
Northern Ireland’s top spot went to Enniskillen. Mould led the nation in demand, followed by Abergele, Rhyl, and Wrexham in the Clwyd region of Wales.
The numbers are derived from Lovehoney’s 2026 Sex Map, which monitors adult product purchasing patterns in various UK areas.
