Air Peace has expanded its aviation operations with the delivery of its first brand-new Embraer E175 aircraft, marking a major step in the airline’s fleet expansion strategy and efforts to improve domestic and regional connectivity.

The Air Peace Embraer E175 aircraft, registered as 5N-CGH, arrived at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos, at 8:32 p.m. on Tuesday, July 7, 2026, after completing a ferry flight from Brazil.
The aircraft was officially handed over to an Air Peace delegation by global aircraft manufacturer Embraer after completing production, making it the latest addition to the airline’s growing fleet.
Designed for short-to-medium-haul operations, the Embraer E175 aircraft features an 88-seat configuration with a 2-2 seating arrangement, ensuring passengers do not have to sit in middle seats. The aircraft provides improved comfort through leather seats, additional legroom, larger overhead storage compartments, bigger windows, and a quieter cabin experience.

According to Air Peace, the new aircraft also delivers improved fuel efficiency, reduced carbon emissions, and quieter operations, supporting the airline’s commitment to sustainable aviation while maintaining strong safety and reliability standards.
Speaking on the arrival of the Air Peace Embraer E175, airline spokesperson Efe Osifo-Whiskey described the delivery as a significant milestone in the company’s long-term growth plan.
He said the new aircraft represents more than just an addition to the Air Peace fleet, but reflects the airline’s continued investment in modern aviation technology aimed at improving efficiency, passenger comfort, and operational performance.
“The arrival of our brand-new Embraer E175 represents far more than the addition of another aircraft to our fleet. It reflects Air Peace’s unwavering commitment to continuous investment in modern aviation assets that improve operational efficiency, strengthen route connectivity, and elevate the overall travel experience for our passengers,” he said.
Osifo-Whiskey added that the Air Peace Embraer E175 is well suited for domestic and regional operations because of its flexibility and capacity, allowing the airline to serve existing routes more efficiently while exploring new markets.

He noted that the aircraft would help increase flight frequencies, improve schedule reliability, and provide passengers with a better travel experience.
The airline said the Air Peace new aircraft strengthens its expansion plans across Nigeria, West Africa, Central Africa, and other international destinations.
Air Peace added that the latest addition to its fleet expansion programme will help meet rising passenger demand while supporting economic growth, tourism, regional integration, and stronger intra-African connectivity.
The arrival of the Embraer E175 aircraft further reinforces Air Peace’s commitment to providing safe, reliable, and affordable air travel while building one of Africa’s most modern airline networks.
