‘Grown Men Making a Mess’ – Sabinus Over Lagos Agbero
What began as excitement over a flashy Tesla Cybertruck reportedly turned into a tense confrontation at Lagos’ National Stadium, with comedian Sabinus now reacting to the incident.
A video making the rounds online shows several youths surrounding the electric vehicle at the Surulere stadium.
The group reportedly approached the Cybertruck after spotting it and began taking pictures with the vehicle. Trouble allegedly started when the owner tried to leave the premises.
According to eyewitness accounts, the youths blocked the vehicle and demanded money before allowing the driver to continue.
Femi Pereira, who recorded the encounter, claimed the situation became increasingly intimidating. He said the Cybertruck owner eventually left the vehicle behind at the stadium rather than continue the confrontation.
The footage has since generated widespread reactions online, with many social media users debating the behaviour of the men involved and the wider issue of street harassment in Lagos.
Sabinus also joined the conversation, expressing frustration over what he described as the spread of “agbero” activities across the state.
The skitmaker questioned why adults, whom he described as breadwinners, would engage in behaviour that could create such disorder.
He wrote:
“If I dey talk about these agbero pandemic for Lagos, una go begin attack person.
Just look at grown men and people’s bread winners making a mess of themselves.
I don wash my hand for this matter.”
The comedian’s post has since added further attention to the viral incident as Nigerians continue to react to the footage.
However, details surrounding the alleged demand for money and the full circumstances that led to the owner abandoning the Cybertruck have not been independently confirmed from the video.
